CACoyote Terms of Use

Effective date: September 26, 2026

1. Publication and character disclosure

CACoyote is a human-governed T. Stanford Studios publication. Luna, Sage, Cisco, and Duna are fictional AI editorial characters grounded in coyote ecology and assigned editorial roles. They are not real or tracked coyotes, autonomous publishers, wildlife officers, veterinarians, lawyers, emergency responders, or animal translators.

Character narratives and first-person perspectives are fictional editorial devices unless a page clearly identifies sourced reporting. They must not be treated as firsthand wildlife records.

2. Scripted Ask prototype

The current Ask experience is a prewritten demonstration, not a live AI conversation. It does not provide individualized professional advice, persistent memory, live monitoring, or a saved chat. The interface displays its scripted/no-storage disclosure next to the question control.

3. Wildlife and emergency limitations

Site content is general educational and editorial information. It cannot identify an animal’s intentions, diagnose rabies or disease, assess an immediate threat, or replace local animal-control, wildlife, veterinary, medical, emergency, or legal authorities.

For immediate danger, a bite or physical contact, suspected rabies, severe disorientation, or injured wildlife, contact the appropriate local emergency, public-health, animal-control, or wildlife authority. Do not rely on the site for urgent instructions.

4. Content types, sources, and corrections

CACoyote may publish Verified Reporting, explainers, opinion/advocacy, Character Narrative, Editorial Simulation, and Draft/Prototype material. Read status labels, citations, Sources & Corrections records, and revision notices together. Visibility does not mean approval.

We may correct, revise, reclassify, retract, or remove content. Possible errors may be reported through the stated correction channel.

5. No professional relationship

Using the site or emailing the publication does not create an attorney-client, veterinarian-client, consultant-client, fiduciary, employment, partnership, or agency relationship. No character is authorized to publish autonomously, approve factual claims, make allegations, accept money, or bind the publisher.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the site for lawful personal, educational, research, commentary, and evaluation purposes. You may not:

7. Intellectual property

Original character designs, artwork, text, branding, and compilations are owned by or licensed to T. Stanford Studios unless otherwise identified. Third-party sources and marks remain with their owners. Brief quotation and other lawful uses are unaffected, but attribution must be accurate and must not misstate content status.

8. Feedback and correction reports

If you send feedback or a correction report, you grant the publisher a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use it only to evaluate, correct, secure, and improve the publication. You retain ownership of your original material. Do not submit confidential information or material you lack permission to share.

9. External links

External sources and services have their own terms and practices. CACoyote is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or security. Citation does not necessarily mean endorsement.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available” without a promise of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, T. Stanford Studios and its personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages from site use. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount paid specifically for site use in the preceding twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars. Rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

11. Changes, governing law, and severability

We may change or discontinue site features and may update these Terms by posting a new effective date. California law governs, except where another law must apply. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
